The excitement this morning was coming across a mother lion with three young ones eating a giraffe carcass. We stayed thee to watch for a bit then went down the road and spotted a young leopard. On the way back, heading to the waterhole, the lions had moved off the carcass and were on the side of the road drinking water. There were also a good number of hippos including some young ones who were annoying the adults and getting chased. My ranger let me go for a bush hike. He grabbed the rifle and sent the tracker back with the Jeep. It was nice to get out and stretch legs.
